The Same Dark Patch

Fact: I haven't swam for four days. My daily drawings also did not pass my quality assessment, so nothing to see today.

You wade out into open sea, feeling the packed and sandy ground under the waters slowly dissipating.. In a brief moment, you are forced to start swimming, out into the blue, light blue to be specific. Suddenly you notice a patch of darkness, and that strange feeling in your gut tells you that you've just reached an unknown. A spot so filled with possibilities; danger, treasures, mysteries. You dive, but only after you already spent so long contemplating that your fingers start pruning up. As you begin your descent, you become more inclined to turn back to the safe oxygenated surface the deeper you go, as the light ceases to shine through to the bottom any more. But you didn't.

And boy, were you mistaken. You met such wonders that the only way of retelling the story right is to bring somewhere there with you. Not long after, your breath reaches its limits and you are forced to return to the boundless, but less promising, skies. As you break the waters, you start doubting. You start telling yourself that there might be another dark patch of which is a greener pasture. You think so much that light stops shining from the big one and all the waters look an equal shade of blue.

Will you dive back in the same dark patch?

Meh.
